LEON E. SCOTT
Founder & Director
Leon obtained a B.Proc degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and was admitted as an attorney in 2000.
Leon is an expert in personal injury law and general litigation and enjoys an extensive reputation nationwide for the delivery of quality and competent legal representation for victims of personal injury matters.
As an expert in his field he specializes across all fields of personal injury law, which include, inter alia, claims for damages against the Road Accident Fund following motor vehicle accidents, slip and trip matters, dog bites, unlawful arrest and detention and medical negligence claims against the State to name but a few.
With over 30 years experience in personal injury litigation Leon and his team have successfully represented thousands of clients with damages claims. Leon promptly and aggressively pursues justice on behalf of clients and his knowledge and litigation experience is complimented by compassion and resolve to ensure the best possible results for his clients.
In his spare time he enjoys golf, fly fishing and mountain biking.
Lauren Collins
Associate
Lauren obtained her BA Law (majoring in Criminology) and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria in 2018. She was the first candidate attorney to join Scott Els Attorneys Inc. when she commenced with her Compulsory Practical Vocational Training in 2019. Lauren was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2020 and has Right of Appearance in the High Court.
Lauren was admitted as a Notary in 2021 and a Conveyancer in 2024.
Lauren specializes in personal injury claims, including litigation (both Magistrate’s and High Court) and all Notarial and Conveyancing related matters. Key areas of the practice include the registration of Antenuptial Contracts and registration of residential and commercial property transfers.
Lauren is very passionate about her work and feels strongly about making a difference in the lives of the clients by achieving the best possible outcome through diligence and hard work. She always walks the extra mile for all clients.
Kamogelo Mabusela
Associate
Kamogelo Mabusela obtained his LLB degree from the University of Limpopo in 2017 and completed law school in 2018. He was admitted as an Attorney in 2020 and he has Right of Appearance in the High Court.
Kamogelo joined the Scott Els team as a candidate Attorney in 2019 and amassed experience in the litigation department dealing with personal injury law. His dedication and eagerness for client’s rights coupled with his sense of compassion has yielded phenomenal results in the early stages of his career.
He practices with diligence and ensures that the needs of the client are of paramount importance. He is passionate about all things human rights and will always strive to put the firm’s clients first.
In his spare time, he enjoys indoor soccer and camping.
Jannemari Fourie
Associate
Jannemari holds BA Law and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria. She is currently an LLM candidate in Public International Law.
Jannemari joined Scott Els Attorneys in January 2021 as a candidate attorney and completed her practical vocational training in 2023. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in February 2024. She practices as an associate in the firm’s litigation department where she attends to various civil litigation matters in all courts.
Jannemari always ensures that the firm’s clients’ interests and needs come first. She offers sound advice throughout the process. She never hesitates to go beyond what is expected to achieve the best outcome and result for her clients. Jannemari strives to embody the core values of Scott Els Attorneys instilled in her by her peers.
